January 2011 has become the snowiest month for Connecticut, breaking the record set in 1945.
Coincidentally, Connecticut had 45 inches in 1945. We already have 59.8 inches this month.
The record for snowiest season was set in 1995-1996 with 115 inches. We're already at 74 for this season.
More snow is predicted in the next week, and no temperatures high enough to melt much beforehand. It is hard to believe right now that we will ever see our grass again, move the car down the hill into the garage, or find two of the shovels that are buried somewhere in the yard.

My parents live in Bethel and don't know what to do with it all!! It is amazing that we have only had a fraction of it here in PA!
