Last week, we had record high temperatures and our gardens and trees burst forth with their beauty. I made a mental note that it was time to get a photo of Beatrice up in our incredible magnolia, which took a hard hit and lost many limbs in the August hurricane. Its shape changed, but the blossoms were just as dramatic as always.
The temps have dipped drastically and we had deep freezes for the past two nights. This morning I was devastated to see the beautiful pink flowers drooped and discolored.
But here we are in March 2012, our near 4-year old is still smiling between the branches. One of these years, she's going to be hanging upside down on one of the limbs!
