Ode to Joy

It's tough to play Beethoven when you're not even six yet.  Tougher still to do it with the pressure of being videotaped.  The promise of gummy bears at the end helps.

Meanwhile, whether hanging out at the house, sitting in the car, or enjoying her friends' birthday parties this weekend, someone is looking very six lately.

First came tying her shoes, then all of a sudden she can get herself started on the swing with no help at all, she's wanting to read and write more and more all the time....someone make it stop!  I told her yesterday "soon Beatrice you won't need Mama for anything" and she responded "I know, but I'll always want you Mama."  Don't know where she gets this stuff. No one can choke me up faster.
